Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Zaela LLC (“we,” “us”) handles information in the MyoState mobile app (the “App”).
The short version
Your entries are stored on your device, and the App has no account — nothing is filed under your name. Apple Health, if you connect it, is read-only: anything it fills in stays on your device, and nothing from Health is ever transmitted by us. What we receive is limited: anonymous crash reports, anonymous feature-usage counts, and your subscription status.
Information stored on your device
The App has no account and does not ask for your name, email, or other contact details. The entries you create — such as workouts, meal plans, self-ratings, and preferences like your protein and sleep targets — are stored locally on your device. If you import data from a file, it is read and processed on your device. We do not collect these entries. Your device's own backup (such as iCloud backup) may include the App's data under Apple's protections and your Apple ID.
Apple Health
If you choose to connect Apple Health, the App reads fitness data — sleep, dietary protein, carbohydrates, fat, dietary energy, and body weight — with your permission, which you can revoke at any time in the Health app. Health data is read-only: the App never writes to Apple Health. What the App fills in from Health — such as a night's sleep duration, a day's nutrition totals, or a body-weight reading — is stored on your device only, alongside your own entries, and is labeled with its source in the App. You can correct or delete any of it at any time — including body-weight readings, which are saved as weigh-ins automatically (you can turn this off in the App's settings, and a deleted reading stays deleted). Nothing read from Apple Health is transmitted off your device by the App, and it is never used for advertising or marketing.
Services we use
We use a small number of service providers, which may process data in the United States. None of them receives your training history, your Apple Health data, or your name:
- Crash reporting (Sentry): if the App crashes, a technical report (such as the stack trace, device model, and OS version) is sent so we can fix the problem. It is not designed to include personal or health information.
- Usage analytics (TelemetryDeck): anonymous, aggregated event counts — for example, that a workout was logged, never its contents.
- Purchases (RevenueCat and Apple): if you subscribe, your subscription status is processed under a random identifier so the App knows your subscription is active. Payment is handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.
Notifications
Notifications are optional and scheduled locally on your device from your own settings — for example, workout reminders or a reminder before a trial ends. We do not send push notifications from servers.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your information. We do not share it except: with the service providers described above; if required by law or legal process; to protect the rights or safety of users, ourselves, or others; or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, in which case records held by our service providers may transfer with the business. If you use the export or share features, you choose where that content goes. Apple and your device's operating system may collect information under their own policies, which we do not control.
Retention and deletion
Your entries stay on your device until you remove them; the App's settings include export, restore, and a full erase. Service-provider records (crash reports, anonymous usage counts, subscription status) are retained under those providers' policies and are not designed to identify you.
Security
Your information is protected primarily by your device's own security features, and keeping your device secured helps protect it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your rights
Because your entries stay on your device, you control them directly — view, export, or delete them in the App. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA); to exercise them or ask questions, contact us at the address below. As we generally do not hold personal information, there is often nothing further for us to provide or delete.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when the updated version is made available, and material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
